Join us on campus August 13–16, 2026, for Alumni Weekend—a dynamic, multi-day gathering celebrating 55 years of field ecology at College of the Atlantic. Reconnect with friends, return to the places that shaped your experience, and celebrate the programs that continue to define COA today.
This year features expanded programming across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, offering more opportunities to connect, explore, and experience COA.
The weekend begins Thursday with arrivals, check-in, and dinner in TAB. Alumni and their families may choose to stay on campus in the Kathryn Davis Residence Village, Seafox, or Blair-Tyson, and share meals together in TAB throughout the weekend.
Friday offers a full slate of activities, including two boat trips to Great Duck Island, and culminates in dinner at The Shrine, a campus update from Interim President Lynn Boulger, followed by music.
New this year, Saturday’s Field Ecology Colloquium serves as the weekend’s centerpiece. Alumni speakers will share how field-based learning at COA has shaped their graduate studies, careers, and trajectories across disciplines. The colloquium runs alongside optional outdoor activities, and the evening concludes with a festive reception, dinner, and live music.
Sunday continues with morning activities and excursions, including a kayak trip and a boat trip to Mount Desert Rock, with departures throughout the afternoon.
