Caroline Bicks is the Stephen E. King Chair in Literature at the University of Maine. She writes academic and popular books about Shakespeare’s plays and world, and co-hosts the Everyday Shakespeare podcast. Her humorous pieces have appeared in the Modern Love column of the New York Times and McSweeney’s Internet Tendency. Her new book, Monsters in the Archives: My Year of Fear with Stephen King, chronicles what she discovered when Stephen King granted her access to his private archive and talked to her about how he crafted his most iconic stories. She lives in Blue Hill, Maine with her family.
