Walter Smalling is a visual artist and architectural photographer specialized in historic preservation. He studied architecture at U.Va, and graphic design at the University of South Florida. He is a former photographer for the National Park Service and the National Register of Historic Places. He also worked as a photographer for the Historic American Buildings Survey, known as HABS.
