Venue

The Summer Institute is held at College of the Atlantic in Bar Harbor, Maine. The beautiful coastal campus is home to a vibrant and diverse community of students, staff and faculty.

The Summer Institute tent is located at the North Lawn of campus, near the Davis Center for Human Ecology building.

Parking

Parking on campus during the Summer Institute is free, but spots are limited. Directional signs will be placed on all campus roads, and campus personnel will be available before each session for additional parking guidance.

We strongly encourage carpooling to reduce traffic congestion and carbon emissions! Carpooling with fellow attendees is not only an environmentally friendly option, but also provides an opportunity to network and make new connections.

Sustainability

College of the Atlantic has been repeatedly recognized for its college-wide commitment to ecological practices. During the Summer Institute, our commitment to sustainability is no different.

We provide compostable hot and cold cups to all our attendees during our receptions. We also provide recyclable pens and printed materials for note taking during the sessions.

We ask our attendees to be mindful of resources by saving the printed program and re-using it for multiple sessions.

Please dispose of your waste responsibly.
