Zaakir Tameez is a scholar of antitrust and constitutional law. He is the author of Charles Sumner: Conscience of a Nation (forthcoming), a landmark biography of America’s premier abolitionist and civil rights leader of the 19th century. A graduate of Yale Law School and the University of Virginia, he has published award-winning scholarship and co-authored amicus briefs before both the Texas and United States Supreme Courts. Tameez is a Fulbright Scholar and Humanity in Action Senior Fellow from Houston, Texas.
