Passenger van transportation is currently full; however, participants who wish to drive themselves to Compass Harbor and meet the group there by 7:45 am are still welcome to register.

Timed with the morning low tide, join faculty member Kara Gadeken for a guided exploration of the intertidal zone at Compass Harbor. We’ll walk a short distance to the shoreline and discover the diverse marine life revealed at low tide—an engaging, hands-on experience for all ages.

Participants should plan to grab breakfast early and meet at the Turrets on campus at 7:30 a.m. to travel together by two passenger vans to Compass Harbor. The group will return in time for the Field Ecology Colloquium.
