About the Bill Newlin Memorial Faculty Lecture

The family of longtime COA trustee and dear friend Bill Newlin endowed the Bill Newlin Memorial Faculty Lecture in his memory, with the inaugural lecture held in 2025.

Their generous gift supports both the annual event and the selected lecturer’s research, course development, and teaching. Now in its second year, the lecture offers a lasting tribute to Bill’s legacy of intellectual curiosity, creating a moment each year to celebrate faculty scholarship, reflect on all he meant to the COA community, and ensure that his influence continues to shape the college for generations.
